Siegel was talented, prodigiously so, especially in those earliest scripts. Siegel, a Chicago native, had lived and worked in Canada since the mid-eighties.īorn November 30, 1927, Siegel made a late entry into the entertainment industry, notching his first television credits in his early thirties on Ben Casey, a medical drama whose producers were skilled at finding talented novices. Siegel, a prominent writer and producer in dramatic television during the sixties and seventies, died of cancer on July 25, 2013, in Montreal, according to his wife, Rachel Lacroix. During the mid-late 1970s, she appeared (as different characters) in three separate episodes of Starsky & Hutch. Otherwise, her career has largely been as a guest player on episodic television, and she has often made multiple appearances on the same series as different characters (including The F.B.I., Cannon, Medical Center, The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, Trapper John, M.D., and Vega$). She was a regular on the syndicated variety program The Lloyd Thaxton Show and on the anthology series Love, American Style (1969-1974). Marta’s first screen credit was in 1966 in an episode of the comedy series Gidget.
